Autographed and Personalized Books All authors are aware that there are many book collectors who absolutely must have a personalized and autographed copy of as many books as they can get. Because of this, most authors will go out of their way to accommodate such requests. Another aspect of books is that they make perfect gifts. If you want to order a personalized and autographed copy of one (or more) of my books, it simply makes a wonderful gift! For example, you could get one for your Aunt Sally on her 53rd birthday. The book would read, for instance, “For Aunt Sally, Happy 53rd Birthday from your nephew, Robert. Byron Edwards.” Because I love to give and receive books, I am glad to do this and be a small part of your surprise. Books can be given for any occasion or for no reason at all. But they make excellent Christmas gifts, birthday gifts, graduation gifts, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gifts, Valentine’s Day gifts, Easter gifts, St. Patrick Day gifts, Halloween gifts, any special family celebration — you get the idea. One of the things I especially like about books as a gift is that they last. Most people cannot remember any of their graduation gifts (unless they got something unreal like a new car or a trip around the world). But a good book, especially one that is personalized and signed by the author, is something that the graduate can keep all his life and remember that it came from “Uncle Ed” or sister, “Louise.” One quick word of warning. If you are planning on giving an autographed and personalized book as a gift, plan ahead. This process takes time. I have worked out an arrangement with Vicky Taylor who owns and operates Treasure Island Books in Gallatin, Tennessee. She specializes in handling special orders and is good at it. If you would like to order one or several of my books, and have them autographed (there is no extra charge), you may email Vicky at tibvicky@bellsouth.net and tell her what you want. If you want it personalized (there is no extra charge), simply tell Vicky what you want it to say in each book. Vicky will email you back and tell you what your total charge will be. The price of each book is the regular retail price for that book plus a postage and handling fee. If the books are shipped within Tennessee, a 9.25% sales tax must be collected on the sale price of every book. There are no extra charges for personalizing and autographing your books. You only need click on the button next to the book you wish to purchase. A frequent question is “How long will this take?” Vicky cannot tell you nor can I simply because of one factor — me. When your request for a personalized and autographed copy of one of my books comes in to Vicky, she will contact me. However, if I happen to be in Seattle signing books or appearing on a local television program, I cannot get over to Treasure Island Books and sign your copy. I will get the message and will sign all copies as soon as I can. If I happen to be home at the right time, you could get your books in a few days. If I am away, it could take weeks.
